this film is interesting as in about the first ten minutes, you get disoriented as the film is playing with time. Baldwin's performance is amazing and the rest of the actors give an impressive performance. though i wish i could sleep with my eyes open. (would help me get through some of my lectures)

I bought this DVD after watching Stephen Baldwin's insane performance in The Usual Suspects. Admittedly, just by looking at the front cover and the storyline of the film I expected a ridiculously cheesy low-budget movie, but was pleasantly surprised upon watching it. Dead Awake is full of wonderfully weird characters, very strange camera shots, settings, etc. and has a fantastic storyline packed full of unexpected and absurd twists. I would recommend any fan of weird, abstract and complicated films to watch this. No, actually you should just buy it anyway. All the cast are great, and it's a lot of fun. Yeah, just get it.
