3 Great Columbo episodes

Three good "early" Columbo episodes. The second has a particularly strong villain in John Cassavetes. Look out for Blythe Danner - Gwyneth Paltrow's mother - as his long suffering wife and the great Myrna Loy as her witchy mother. I understand that John Cassavetes and Peter Falk were good friends and struggling actors together. This shows in the chemistry between them.

peter falk has been the raincoat wearing columbo since the 70s and i read on the dvd that they are even as recent as 2000. billy connolly was in one. i haven't seen an episode on the tv in years so it was great to get the dvds. zero extras, but there are three episodes on each dvd (too few?) at 1.5 hours each. They don't seem to be in any particular order either, but beggars can't be choosers. Worth it - i hope they hurry and get the rest out.
