The endearing Larkin family. Pop and ma larkin and there large family romp there way through life in 'The garden of England'. Pop Larkin when encountering problems in life always sees them through with great gusto. Ma who is the mother earth figure and her large brood of children leads a life of contentment and surprise at Pa Larkins ways with the women he encounters, some are Upper class and very middle class ladies. She however remains his stalwart in life. There beautiful elder daughter adds glamour and surprise. There other 6 children all have there own charachteristics, and also there own rather quaint christian names. Set in Kent just in the later part of the 50s, you will see emerge a wonderful and unique family. The warmth of there idealistic way of life, makes you love them all and you want to become part of there life. You cannot fail to wonder what will happen next to this family all the way through the series. Warm and feel good factor stories, also a good rendition of a way of life now in the distant past.
