Entertaining, but normal Seagal
Review date: 2007-10-05 Rating: 6 out of 10

The movie starts with Seagal's character Boyd, a police officer, rescues the Vice President of the USA from a very elaborate plot. His reward is to demote him to the worst precinct, 15th, in the city. We lose what looks like the beginning of a good plot.

The 15th turns out to be a very seedy shop, with more corrupt cops than straight ones looks like our boy Boyd has arrived not a moment too soon. Isaiah Washington plays his awestruck partner, Jill Hennessy is his flinty boss, and hip-hop hero DMX is a mystery man who defeats Seagal in hand-to-hand combat. There is a lot of action, and Seagal fans will love it. The only extra on the DVD worth anything is the Music video; DMX's "Ain't No Sunshine"

AN ALL OUT ACTION FILM
Review date: 2006-12-25 Rating: 6 out of 10

I watched this for the first time ever last night in bed. I found myself enjoying it more then I should have done, as this is a STEVEN SEAGAL film and I found that his acting is more bareable then people make out.

As in every STEVEN SEAGAL film there is plenty of action and the plot is as thin as a sheet of paper but I enjoyed it.

STEVEN SEAGAL and DMX kick it up a notch in this searing action thriller from the acclaimed producer of THE MATRIX, JOEL SILVER.

Fifty kilos has disappeared from the property vaults of the toughest precinct in Detroit and nobody knows who is responsible. It'll make someone $5 million richer - maybe someone in a uniform - as long as nobody talks.

Gangster Latrell Walker (DMX) wonders wheather all cops are bad until he crosses paths with tough Detroit detective Orin Boyd (SEAGAL). On opposite sides of the law and surrounded by enemies, Latrell and Orin must work together to reveal the deadly conspiracy at the heart of the precinct.

Like I said I liked this film and I have hardly seen any of STEVEN SEAGAL's films so I might buy them all and enjoy them

EMBARASSING...
Review date: 2005-05-04 Rating: 2 out of 10

My, where should I begin? This film has to top the list for being the corniest, most badly scripted and acted movie ever made. Really it is truly dreadful. It's really corny, the fight scenes are obviously all staged and look really fake, making it actually funny to watch! That's how awful it is. The acting from Seagel is really really really bad, and sounds as if he's reading straight off a script and not putting any effort into it. And I only have 3 words to say to DMX, 'Stick to rap' because you can't act!

A waste of anyones time. Watch METRO with Eddie Murphy if you want a real action.

SAVE YOURSELF FROM THIS FILM

This film is terrible. Its plot is so twisted and badly written that bythe end of the film you can't work out who are the bad guys and who arethe good guys. I amazed Stephen segal worked out which people to shootand I'm amazed he didn't just shoot himself. save yourself from this direfilm that claims to be a quality action thriller.

Sorry about this people but this is an awful film.
Shooting car tyres and watching them blow up nah sorry can't, don't and won't believe it as it just doesn't happen. Seagal can't act he is so sreary and flat.
Best bit about this film is the end i.e the credits ( its a cliche I know but for this film its true) if you want action and nothing else then, OK you might like it, but for anyone who likes to think and use their brains do not see this film its dreadful.
Its just unrealistic and tedious and down right offensive, it's like a die hard film no substance.
