Review date: 2008-01-30 Rating: 6 out of 10
This first reviewer is right, there is nothing totally original in this film, even 1981 the cop thriller genre was cliche ridden. However this one did win me over, possibly because of the support Chuck gets from Christopher Lee, Mako (far superior actors) and Richard Roundtree. The plot is simple, the script is ordinary but the fight scenes are great. I recommend you get this Region1 copy because the the region2 version is very shabby in comparison. grainy picture etc.

Try to keep you EYES open...Review date: 2001-09-18 Rating: 4 out of 10OKay, not the worst of it's genre! It is still pretty similar to Chuck Norris' other cinematic features- blank faced hero, has handy knowledge of martial arts, has to defeat the bad guy (usually a better actor than him), and saves the doey eyed dim witted heroine from from the bad guy, and they live happily ever after. This one does have a back up plot too, though. Chuck has to find out who is behind the mysterious murder of an Oriental journalist, working for Christopher Lee's new broadcasting company. And yes, poor Christopher Lee, why did he ever make a film like this? As I say, there are worse efforts than this to make martial arts more commercial (and more appealing to the typical cinema audience, which is aroun 17 years old), and this one is quite fun. Come on, give it a look, you must be curious...?
