Series 1 is by far and the way the best series
Review date: 2007-06-30 Rating: 10 out of 10
This was one of the funniest series of the 90s and i find it a bit sad how it has now been nearly completely forgotten! I thought the first series was much better than the second two, primarily because Ben Chaplin was so brilliant as the sarcarstic, cutting house mate. His constant put downs of Martin and piss takings of Mandy were brilliant. The replacement actor Neil Stuke just lacked that certain something and it was never the same again. A must see!

Excellent SitcomReview date: 2004-07-28 Rating: 10 out of 10I won't say anything about the characters that hasn't already been said. Suffice to say this - The series was panned by the critics but i feel unfairly so. Forgetting the exploration of the characters for a minute, the series involves Matt and Martin talking about women and being mystified by them at the same time. Mandy struggles to ward off the sexual intonations of men whilst trying to further he carear at various temp agencies. It is simply a look at what essentially you may find when 3 flatmates get together but expanded to the point of hilarity. The funniest episode is the last one when Matt Joins a band that moved in upstairs and tries to avoid (due to his agrophobia) doing gigs with them. This can be summed up by his dialogue - when he questions why sliding his crotch over the mike stand while singing isn't appropriate in a song about an old lady who dies of hypothermia.
It's like Black books you'll either like it or hate it. The other 2 series can be viewed in the same way.
Can't get enough !!Review date: 2003-11-11 Rating: 10 out of 10This show extraordinary !! I can't recall how many times I have watched the episodes and I am still laughing so much. I can't get enough !! When will the other seasons be on DVD !!
All the actors are so great and the stories are really one of a kind. I've never ever seen anything like this before. No-one would take it first degree, the topics are mainly about sex and pushing the subject to extreme but in a very unusual way. Well I am French and I have to admit (!!) that I love the British for daring this kind of show !
Everyone should buy this DVD and help me get the other seasons on DVD right away !!!James' Review On Game On first seriesReview date: 2003-05-16 Rating: 10 out of 10This is Defiently a must have! I Have this on VHS and DVD because it's a classic series. In my view the later series are the best ones But still deserves 5 out of 5! You have three 20 somethings flatmates who all lead different lives, Matthew who Is scared of going outside, Mandy who basically S**gs any bloke in her path (haha) and Martin who works in a bank and gets depressed easily. The first series looks at basically mandy trying to get a decent job, Martin making cups of tea (TEEEAAA!) and Matthew who's at home doing his impressions i.e. Clint Eastwood, Bob Deniro and (Bruce Willace holding a fish - think that ones in a later series but still funny)
This is the classic sitcom you dont get to day and you can watch them over and over and wont get tired or bored watching them. They are a must have!
'Do u feel lucky punk well do ya!'enjoy

TEA!Review date: 2003-02-01 Rating: 10 out of 10Given its high cringe factor, ludicrous situations and lampooning of agoraphobes, it was a comedy I thought I'd easily forget. There was nothing particularly special about any of it, save for the Essex appeal of Samantha Janus and the continual wonder if Matthew would ever leave the flat. Yet here I am writing a five star review. Not sure whether it's because like Black Books it's a gentle series that you can watch repeatedly at any time, or because it's the antithesis of all the infantile humour around at the moment, but whatever the case it's a highly recommended addition to any comedy lover's bookcase. Go for it.
