Synopsis
This SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN spin-off follows the adventures of Jaime Sommers (Lindsay Wagner), the Bionic Woman. A childhood sweetheart of Steve Austin (Lee Majors), the Bionic Man, Sommers received similiar bionic treatment after a skydiving accident. However, her body did not accept the new limbs, and she almost died. Thanks to more procedures, though, the Bionic Woman returned in her own TV series. This collection includes the episodes "Black Magic" (featuring Vincent Price and Julie Newmar), "Motorcycle Boogie" (featuring Evel Knievel), and "The Jailing of Jaime."

I have just finnished watching Volume 1 of The Bionic Woman and enjoyed it very much. The Sound and picture quality are so amazing it does look as though it hadf just been made today not 20 odd years ago. Only one problem is that they should release the whole series and not one disc with three episodes from each season. Please Playback could you please bring out more episodes to DVD Thank you

Fantastic sound & picture quality make this classic TV programme transfer to DVD a must have for all you Bionic fans out there. Forget the re-runs on SciFi-all grainy picture & poor sound quality-this is like watching a shiny brand new show.So clear, you can even tell when it's Jaimes's stunt double performing those dodgy leaps from the rooftops!!!Just one minor complaint Universal-can we have some Fembots next time please???

At long last, we finally have some Bionic Woman episodes on DVD. Excellent picture and sound quality make this a must have!!!! Let's hope for many more releases of this great tv show!
the best of the Bionic Woman

For those who grew up with this TV series, a must ! Although Universal-Playback has not selected the best episodes for this first DVD release, "Black Magic", "The Jailing of Jaime" and "Motorcycle Boogie" deserve to be seen again and again, some for their humor, some for the music soundtrack, some for the story line. Lindsay Wagner is truly excellent, even thu the script may not always rise to the top. We can only hope that Universal will release many more of these classic Bionic Woman episodes ! The show is also great because it was done before the computer assisted special effects arrived which means that you won't see any abuse of special effects like in today's new TV production. The episode were taken from every of the three seasons the show originally aired and so, there is an evolution in the Jaime Sommers character. Which adds to the interest of this DVD release, with a bit of every season's aspect of the Bionic Woman. So, for the fans, a real piece of collection !!! Get it !! - A huge fan from Finland !
