We are all looking for that love. The one person that makes your world turn inside out. The earth-shattering love that is all consuming. Valerie Breiman,directs her real life love story with passion and smooth direction. The story is told from the woman's viewpoint-Kate; Jamke Jaansen is a beautiful young woman going from one relationship to another until she meets "Mr. Right". This relationship with Jon Favreau, is a lust at first sight scenario that develops into love and a live-in relationship. What happens after two years and the newness and the lust wears off? They split- why work on something that has become a bore?

The couple spend the rest of the movie moving from one person to another trying to find the missing piece that will make them whole. The interesting sidelight is that it is the woman who has had 13 sexual experiences while the man only 2- he attempts to make up for lost time. During the maturing process of their lives and loves they discover that what they really want and need is each other. Luckily each discovers this signficance
at almost the same moment.

This is a movie that warrants some attention. The actors spent 5 days rehearsing, and it shows. The movie drags in parts, but if someone loans this movie to you, watch it. You may discovera line or two that you want to remember for that next time you are looking for "Mr Right". Recommended. prisrob

Pleasantly Surprised

This was recommended to me by a friend. Never seen it in the shops, never heard of the actors but really, really enjoyed it. Amusing, true to life, touching, hilarious, poignant - so many characteristics. Would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it. Refreshing to watch a film that is good because it is good and not because the lead roles are played by famous movie stars. Will be watching it again ... ...

This film is quite good and is definitely worth watching.
The lead actors are likeable and the running time is short.
It is a much better film than what I expected.
At no time do you feel bored or that you think the film is dragging.
Overall, watch it if you get the chance.

I am the first to review this movie and it has been out in the UK for a few weeks, there are simply not enough people that have found this unexpected treasure. It means that it will remain something special to all of those who have seen this truthful, heartwarming and honest romantic comedy. But please, tell your friends, neighbours and countrymen that this little movie should not be missed on any account. Right now I myself am going through a really bad break up with my girlfriend of 6 years. Who I still dearly love very much but we have decided to give ourselfs a little space and time. I can relate to this movie on all levels and it was a breath of fresh air in the romantic comedy genre. Both lead actors show great chemistry on screen and pull off genuine emotion. I have been a big fan of Jon Favreau since Swingers and we really do not see as much of him as we all should do. Famke Janssen is a great actress too, really shinning through. Watch this movie, again and again. It really is a must see! The DVD does contain a great extra that was not featured on the US release. It follows the director and cast around behind the scenes at the Sundance Film Festival and is a real insight into the great indie movie making scene. The DVD is great, sound is great and one thing that I should mention before I go, is the soundtrack (which I now own) So sit back and enjoy a great romantic comedy that appeals to both Boys and Girls. You will not be sorry...
