Synopsis

A group of High School students wish they were back at school when a crazed maniac attacks them one by one.

Quite possiblt THE most generic slasher ever made
Review date: 2004-01-25 Rating: 2 out of 10

Well, you know how some things are so unintentionally funny it's worth seeing them for that reason alone. Just aswell this movie has it in droves otherwise it've a complete waste of everybody's time.
For what it's worth, the pointless story leads the characters into numerous scenarios where either it'll be a cliched false alarm or to a (badly executed) gory demise. Not that you'll care, these people are so devoid of any type of charisma or acting ability that you'll have forgotten who's just died, because they are that faceless.
The only one who stands out is the Big tall Blonde guy...Oh yea, him...
He must be, without doubt THE worst actor ever to vomit his lines onto celluloid. Ahh, the acting. The opening scene where the kids are sitting in some youth club predictably placing the whole premise and future surprises is amazing. Amazing that someone's casting director had managed to get together a group of actors who manage to deliver EVERY line in such badly timed and lazy way. Some instances will make you laugh aloud as to how terrible the acting is. Especially the big blonde guy. And there are bizarre comical points within the movie that completely go against any slight tension built up beforehand, like some stupid fast motion/honkey tonk piano scene or "comical" OUTTAKES whilst the credits roll. After all these mortified and traumatised people have been killed or maimed. Quite strange and very pointless.
I mean i wonder why people continue to make these movies. You really have seen one "stalk and slash" and you've seen them all. Some are presented with a few new ideas and twists ( is say few : as in miniscule ) but this film just bypasses any attempt to differ from others in the genre.
Ignore the fact it was previously banned blah, blah,...it ain't particularily gruesome, bar one of the girls being violated by a big fish hook. Even that ain't explicit and it's in the dark. So if gore laden thrills are your kinda thing, then this movie won't deliver either. Just borrow it or rent it for much laughage, but otherwise don't waste your money.

Ok Slasher.
Review date: 2003-05-16 Rating: 6 out of 10

This film entitled Mutilator is just another so-so slasher. Nowhere near as good as The friday the 13th movies or even the Scream films. Its low budget so I wasn't expecting much in the way of acting. But, quite frankly, I hated all the characters and couldn't wait for them to die. Especially the tall blonde bloke, what a lanky geek. The characters were all really dumb Southern Americans and I should have been wary anyway with a film maker called Bud Cooper! The only saving grace in the film Is some brutal death scenes which I liked. A well placed hook Ouch! and the end scene are good when even though chopped in half our killer can still slice off a coppers leg. If you can handle inbred hick actors, annoying stupid out of place music and cheapness of production you may just enjoy this bloody film !

Precursor movie to modern serial killer style movies
Review date: 2001-11-12 Rating: 8 out of 10

The films actors are somewhat laughable in their abilities, there are scenes where it appears they are reading from prompt cards.
It is the kind of film where you are really gambling on who will be next to die as none of the characters are particually likable at first although you do feel something for them later on in the film.
The way the killer seems to develop superhuman strength throughout the film is also a point to look out for - he seems to die on numerous occasions and even when he is finally ripped in two at the end is able to take one final hack at the police.
At the start he is killing with blunt objects but soon moves on to chainsaws and other brutal weaponry making the kills much more bloody.

Although my comments may sound negative make no mistake - this is a great film to watch if you like comedy horror because this is what you get here

NOT FOR THE NON SLASHER FAN!
Review date: 2001-01-14 Rating: 6 out of 10

This film is one of my fave movies. It has everything a bad horror movie can have. Gore galore, sex, and of course the bad acting. I have been a big horror film fan for years now. I love thesort of horror flicks that have poor dialogue and follow the same tired old story. If you are not the sort of person into films like Friday 13th and the Burning then you will probably hate this movie. Buy if you are like me and simply are looking for a cheesy cliched and entertaining horror movie, then this is your film.

Not as good as it sounds, Do not be fooled!

Wow, the 'MUTILATOR'. Somebody who cuts people up, sounds good. By the way, I was being sarcastic. This film looks great by the box and the so-called EXTREME version. A boy accidently shoots his mother while cleaning his fathers gun as a birthday present. The dad comes home and you just can't really tell what he's about to do by his expression. About 5 years later, the boy and his friends go to his beach house to stay. For about the first hour nothing happens except the start scene with the gun. Finally the killings start. Oh and i'll just go to check the fuse box for no apparant reason and look for my girlfriend in a dark and gloomy basement. The killings are actually quite good and the chainsaw scene is good. Apart from that though this film is... but if you are really desperate then you might find the killings make up for the film.
