Amazon.co.uk Review

Recorded at their 2000 Wembley dates, Familiar To Millions celebrates not just nearly a decade of dominance by the Oasis lads but also the fact that it is still actually possible to get them on the same stage at the same time. Moreover, while the band certainly had their troubles prior to arriving at the Twin Towers (not least Noel Gallagher's decision to stay at home for many European dates), this finds all concerned on blistering form with even the newer band members sounding like they were born to play with the monobrowed ones. The chosen set list also wisely skimps on selections from their recent work preferring instead to concentrate on the likes of "Cigarettes And Alcohol", "Wonderwall", "Supersonic", "Shakermaker", "Don't Look Back In Anger", "Champagne Supernova" and a superb Noel-sung version of Neil Young's "Hey Hey My My". The actual concert footage itself, though, is the only the tip of the iceberg, with special features including a discography, graphics that were specially filmed for the dates, multicamera angles on Cigarettes & Alcohol and a documentary by Grant Gee, previously responsible for Radiohead's Meeting People Is Easy documentary. The most entertaining aspect of this DVD by far, however, is a Gary Crowley-conducted pre-gig interview with the siblings in which ex-cokehead Noel gleefully admits that he can remember absolutely nothing whatsoever about recording (What's The Story) Morning Glory?. --Warren Wayans

Classic British Rock 'n' Roll
Review date: 2004-11-08 Rating: 8 out of 10

I bought this DVD about a week ago and wasn't disappointed. It captures Oasis in fantastic form, performing all their classic songs and some newer ones as well. Liam Gallagher, the quintessential Rock 'n' Roll star, is at his swaggering, charismatic best with Noel and Alan White as reliable as ever. The 2 new boys Bell and Archer look right at home in Oasis as well. Every song is performed with the famous swagger and confidence of Oasis, with Cigarettes and Alcohol, Roll with it, Champagne Supernova, Live Forever and Acquiesce standing out as phenomenal performances. Every song still sounds as fresh as it did when it was first released, and Dont Look Back in Anger still sends a shiver down the spine. I guarantee you could put this DVD on whatever song and it would make you want to get up, sing along and just generally rock. The show ends on a high note with a classy rendition of Rock 'n' Roll Star, topping off a stunning performance from the finest Rock 'n' Roll band in the world.

Again Oasis

Hello! Oasis back with this Dvd of the concert in Wembley.
it's a review of the old hits and future hits.

Great Reminder of a Great Day!
Review date: 2004-06-22 Rating: 8 out of 10

Anyone who was there on the day of recording needs to buy this DVD. I brought it as soon as it came out and watched it twice straight through. The concert was amazing, the band were at their best & the crowd were totally committed to being along for the ride!! The set list probably does favour more of there earlier stuff but there are also a couple of more current songs (Go Let It Out, Gas Panic!) which fit in well with the earlier stuff. This was Oasis showing that they can and do rock! It's a full-on assault on the senses and it proved that these lads who once battered the charts with their music still have the raw passion to carry on. Ends with Rock 'n' Roll Star - which all of us who saw it realised we were watching 5 such stars in front of us!

The extras on the disc are also a great addition rather then just something thrown in. There are the animations that were played at the back during the songs (especially great for the quotes on Live Forever) as well as a great interview and documentary about the band. This is just more of a band that want to give their fans something more then just "the norm". If your an Oasis fan you'll be used to getting the best that Noel & the lads can offer and with this disc your getting just that.

If you were there buy it and remember all that was great... if you weren't buy it and wish you'd been there!

Best band, best gig, best music

Ke onda a toda Inglaterra,
This is the best gig this eyes have seen and we can find their best songs in this dvd, such as wonderwall, supersonic, champagne supernova or live forever, and my favourite song on it, Gas Panic! they play it very good, Is great, you have to buy this dvd, no matter if you are oasis fan or not.

the ultimate concert dvd (so far!!)
Review date: 2002-05-25 Rating: 10 out of 10

This is the best music dvd in my collection it has just about everything you could want on oasis and is certainly not another JUST the concert dvd, it includes a complete discography of the band (with soundbites), a back and front stage view of the performance with the band (especially noel & liam's)interactions with both the camera's and more importantly the crowd been quite entertaining in parts.
The sound and picture are excellant and the disc also features various film bites (like people been thrown out of the gig)and is very raw (as you would expect)... the setlist itself is really a showcase of oasis music from 'definately maybe' to 'standing on the shoulders of giants' and all the songs are performed with gusto and are well placed in the list.
If i had one small niggle with the disc itself is that the arrow to move between menu's is very small and is easily missed.
However this is a great disc and easily worth the money.
