I won't be buying Only Fools & Horses DVDs again! Why are the BBC releasing DVDs with scenes cut?
Review date: 2007-11-17 Rating: 4 out of 10
Why have the BBC released it with a good 10 minutes of scenes cut? I've read that a lot of the Only Fools and Horses DVDs are like that. Why have the BBC done that? It completely spoils it for me. If you bought a book with pages missing you wouldn't be happy, so why settle for this. Do the BBC think their licence fee paying public are too thick to notice? I'm completely at a loss to understand why they do this!
As a DVD though, I only bought this because it's on special offer. At full price it feels a bit of a let down as it has absolutely no extras whatsoever. You would think there'd be enough interviews and documentaries in the BBC archives to make up at least some bonus material, and there are enough supporting actors that at least one of them should have been able to do a commentary, but this DVD has none of this. It appears to be a cash-in. That's why it loses one star.
