Chuck Norris works best in films like MISSING IN ACTION where he gets to play a badass who stares everyone down. FORCE OF ONE is one of the earlier efforts where he hadn't yet come into his stride, but was also given far too many lines of dialogue, an abysmal script and a weak character. The choreography is good enough, but there is a serious shortage of action sequences. Combine this with the moustache he had at the time, and the film plays a bit like a vintage australian soap opera but with all the emotion of a wooden plank.
The DVD presents quite a dark print of the film too, which doesn't help seeing as the final showdown is filmed at night.

classic Chuck Norris...Review date: 2003-09-14 Rating: 6 out of 10This is a must see film for any fans of Chuck Norris or old martial arts movies. Chuck Norris plays a 6 times undefeated karate champion, who is called on by the narcotics division of the police to help train the cops to defend themselves against some deadly martial arts attacks. The film is unintentionaly very amusing and entertaining, and also debuts the legend Bill 'Superfoot' Wallace as Chuck Norris' nemesis. The DVD doesn't contain any extras, but for the price this is a good DVD for any fans of the genre to add to their collection.
