Christopher Walken and Louise Fletcher develop a device that can record and playback the thoughts, sensations and feelings of any individual, regardless of the experience. Naturally, the miliatry see a wide potential for such a machine and the race begins to try and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Doug Trumbull (the effects wizard behind 2001: A Space Odyssey) directed and produced the film which presents us with a truly fascinating 'What if?..' scenario. The effects are breath-taking, even by today's standards and music compliments perfectly - it's just a shame I never got chance to see this on the big screen, when it was first released back in 1983. Excellent sci-fi - grab it while you can!!

Brainstorm, Natalie Woods' final film is a sci-fi fan's dream. For once, a movie that dares to challenge the viewer with a concept so intriguing, that the idea stays with you long after the film finishes.
