Most of us will never be tested, in life or in our most intimate relationships, as Nick and Karen are tested in this moving and uplifting drama, but this fine film can make us feel as if we have been. Nick is a man whose whole life revolves around physical pleasures: his work, football, the woman he grows to love. A diagnosis of MS plunges him into despair and tests his strength--and Karen's--in ways neither would have chosen and that force each of them to decide what is truly important in life and in love.
