Sci-fi so-so
Review date: 2004-10-18 Rating: 6 out of 10

I should point out that I would rate this nearer 3.5 because it is enjoyable, the effects are inventive and the fights are gripping - and the story is quite interesting. On the flip side I would say the dialogue is uninspired, the acting has its good points but is generally poor (Lillard is enjoyable in his usual manic character). One major annoyance is the elsiveness of the kilrathi, who apart from the hoards of fighting ships; you see in the flesh about twice, and even then it is nothing to write home about.

The film - how does it compare ...
Review date: 2004-01-01 Rating: 10 out of 10

First I must point out that I have not actually played the game, so I cannot compare it to the game.

However I still think this is a brilliant movie. It places you right in the middle of the Kilrathi - terran war, onboard the Tiger's Claw carrier. Compared to the book "Wing Commander: Fredom Flight" (which I also recomend) it has differences, e.g. "If you die, you never existed", from the film. However it still captures the urgency of the war and how it is going.

I recomend you watch this, wheter you've played the game or not. A must for all Sci-fi fans.
