Sex and sadism from an Italian master of European sleaze

The Italian title of this 1972 film is "Riti, magie nere e segrete orge nel trecento," which I mention because that title ("Rites, Black Magic and Secret Orgies") is much more accurate that "The Reincarnation of Isabel." Director Renator Polselli is rather infamous for his sleazy films designed to titillate audiences and inflame the Catholic Church. This film offers almost non-stop naked breasts amidst whippings, impalings, torture, sadistic sex and satanic orgies. "The Reincarnation of Isabel" is set in modern times, with flashbacks to the previous lives of the characters when they engaged in non-stop debauchery. Rita Calderoni plays the title characters, known as Laureen in her current reincarnation. This DVD was not made from a first-rate copy, which makes sense since this is such glossed up sleaze. This letterboxed film is in Italian and has English subtitles. The trailer is almost better than the movie, but the made for video prologue runs way too long.
