Awesome, Spellbinding, Brilliant. Superlatives fail me. Paul Simon is a tremendous artist and mixed with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Hugh Masekela and Mirium Makeba the result is tremendous. T Shirts proclaiming 'Free Nelson Mandela' appear in the audience and recall 1987 and the shame of the then government of South Africa. The music is first class, the singing tremendous and the DVD conveys the atmosphere of the event. If you are a Paul Simon fan this is essential.

A really excellent concert......was there to see live and thoughht would lose it's appeal on DVD but makes you feel as though you were actually there again.....

Not content with creating one of the greatest albums in the world, Paul Simon decided that it needed an equally great concert tour to go with it. This video, filmed at the last performance in Harare, Zimbabwe (the closest they could get to South Africa in 1987) features the fantastic musicians (Ray Phiri, Bakhiti Kumalo etc.) from the Graceland album, along with the brilliant Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Other famous South African performers (Hugh Masekela and Miriam Makeba) join Paul to produce an unforgettable event. The music is fantastic, the singing is great and the video is filmed beautifully with some highly fitting shots of Zimbabwean scenery (e.g. the Victoria Falls, Zambezi river etc.). This is a necessary addition to any Paul Simon fan's collection.
