I'm not sure about this book, to be honest. This is a good book but there are a few inaccuracies in it and some of the events reported are out of sequence with other bits left out. There are a few new things for long-term Coronation Street fans to discover but not all that much and it's basically just a summary of main points in the show's history with half the book being taken up by pictures. However, at the same time, there are pictures of more recent storylines in the book such as Ian McKellen's role in the show and the neo Baldwins. Unlike other Coronation Street books, it could be got through in one sitting so doesn't take that long to read, I would have preferred a longer read. Plus the treasures that are included, you'll either think are interesting or pointless, but I like the Majorca photos and Richard and Katy's letters. The CD that came with the book, though, is enjoyable with lots of good Coronation Street moments from far back in the show's history and also from the last two or three years. There are better Coronation Street books but this one is still worth buying to have read it and listened to the CD although not at too expensive a price.
It mainly contains a description of each house and location in the street and their occupants (with their stories of course). The memorabilia includes photographs, letters, telegrams, birth certificates and the suicide note from Katie!
Also it comes with a CD, which at the beginning I tought it was a dvd, but don't be confused it is an Audio CD so it contains conversations from some episodes. I think it would have been great if instead the audio cd they would've included a dvd with bits of the most important episodes! But overall a great item
