Underwater fun!
Review date: 2010-04-12 Rating: 10 out of 10

I bought this picture book as my daughter really enjoyed Rumble in the Jungle also by Giles Andreae. The large, colourful, fun illustrations are appealing to young children and the rhyming text gives reading aloud a rhythm of its own. The pictures informs the child to what the text is about.

I have recently written a children's fairy tale about a young princess's curiosity about a forest which leads her onto a magical journey, where she learns some truths about her role as a princess and her wits and bravery are put to the test.

Storybook perfection for little ones - recommended!
Review date: 2009-11-17 Rating: 10 out of 10

When I bought this book, along with Rumble in the Jungle, I hadn't realised it was by Purple Ronnie's creator.

Obviously this exciting fact was lost on my pre-school daughter, but what was not lost were the big bold pictures, the toothy grins, and the tickly octopus.

There is a certain joy from the way the poems bounce along that gives the reader the chance to have some fun, and the kids love all the different characters.

The version I bought has an audio CD read by Hugh Laurie, an unexpected bonus.

Highly recommended along with all his other books.

My son Arlo (aged just 4) loves this book it's got excitement, adventure, bright colours and great drawings of the undersea world.
Perfect for young kids - full of wonder and fascination.
If you like getting your kids books - get this one.
And see their little faces light up with joy.

Causes a commotion in my house!
Review date: 2009-10-29 Rating: 10 out of 10

I recently bought this book for my two daughters aged two and three.
Well, not a day goes by when they don't ask for this story at least once.
There are entertaining and informative rhymes for each of the sea creatures mentioned
which my girls have now learnt by heart. What I really like, as a mum, is
the wide range of vocabulary which introduces kids to words like 'bellow',
'blubber', 'glamorous' and many more. Truly a great purchase!
