Synopsis

So you think you know the Osbournes? Think again. Here is the real story of the real people. Sharon and Ozzy tell us about their early careers, their relationship and how they became one of rock and roll's most enduring and much-loved couples. Here you will find the music, the drugs, the booze, the domestic violence and the excesses of rock stardom. But you will also find an incredibly moving picture of a family surviving in the midst of a media maelstrom. Having grown up and become famous in their own right, Aimee, Kelly and Jack reflect upon their parents' relationship, their household of extremes and what is was like growing up with the Prince of Darkness. But through all of the family traumas - Ozzy's multiple addictions, Sharon's cancer, Aimee's despair, Kelly's tantrums and Jack's drug abuse - the family have stuck together. This is a book for Ozzy fans, but also for all those interested in the music industry and in the story of ordinary people living extraordinary lives.

THE TRUE LIFE OF OSBOURNES FROM ALL THE FAMILY
Review date: 2006-05-07 Rating: 10 out of 10

You've all heard about the story's of how wild Sharon is, how tame Aimee is, how Jack follows his father's footsteps, etc, now read the true encounters from each individual on how they saw every subject happening from childhood to adultlife. Can't put this book down, it's such a good read. I'd recommend it anytime. Here is an example: What really happened when Ozzy lost the plot and tried to kill Sharon. How he saw it, how she tells it, how each child encountered it. Just shows the true aspect from everyone. Had several laughs and twice as many tears, both joy and sad. Could feel the families love for one another. Something quite rare these days. JUST EXCELLENT!!!!

from the horses's mouth...
Review date: 2004-07-26 Rating: 10 out of 10

OK, OK, you've heard all the stories, Ozzy bites head off a bat, etc., but this book does give you the chance to hear them afresh, and told properly rather than just urban myth. Jack and Kelly's schooling and upbringing in England, Ozzy's early life in the godforsaken area that is Aston, Birmingham, Sharon learning the biz from her Father, the scary Don Arden, and most poignant of all, just how sick Sharon was during her bout with cancer... much more than the MTV show portrayed. Love 'em or hate 'em, in this book they are at least honest, and it makes for 'car crash' reading. And where the hell did Aimee come from? Those of us who thought she was probably right to not involve herself with the the MTV show are left siding with the rest of the family... where does she get off being so stuck-up?? I bought the hardback version of this book when it came out, and paid top dollar for it... at a bargain price, I would say it's a must read.

This book is one of the best books I have ever read. It has so much more information than I ever thought they would let out. It contains all to make it a bestseller and well worth the money.

From Ozzys childhood, to sabbath, what really happened behind the camera on The Osbournes and how Sharon and family coped with cancer. It includes the things cut out of The Osbournes as requested by them, the stories to hard for them to put out.

Also for the fist time we hear their eldest daughter, Aimee's point of view and her descision not to participate in the show.

Excellent for any Ozzy and Osbournes fans.
