Episode Synopsis:

1. Pilot
To outsiders Mary Alice Young leads the perfect family life with her husband and teenage son. So when she unexpectedly commits suicide it causes ripples amongst her family and friends. As her neighbours and close friends, Gabrielle, Lynette, Susan and Bree attempt to solve the mystery of her death, Mary Alice continues to comment on events taking place on Wisteria Lane and shares the suburban secrets of what appears to be an idyllic American neighbourhood.

2. Ah, But Underneath
Whilst Susan and Edie continue to fight over Wisteria Lane’s hottest new arrival, Mike, Bree decides that her and husband Rex should start to go to therapy. Paul tries to bury part of Mary Alice’s past and what exactly was Susan's measuring cup doing in the fire damaged wreckage of Edie’s house?

3. Pretty Little Picture
As Bree tries to keep her marriage problems a secret, Gabrielle finds herself with a nine-year-old blackmailer when she is caught in a passionate clinch with her teenage gardener, John. Meanwhile Susan finds herself naked in the street.

4. Who’s That Woman?
Mrs. Huber guesses that Susan had something to do with Edie's house burning down and tries to blackmail her. Carlos wrongly attacks the cable guy instead of John, thinking Gabrielle was cheating with him. Lynette gets mad when her twin sons’ teacher claims that they have ADD but then discovers the benefits of ADD medication for herself and Bree struggles with her teenage son Andrew when Rex moves out.

5. Come In, Stranger
The neighbours feel vulnerable when there is a break-in at one of the houses and Susan accepts a date with a policeman. When Rex takes the children away for the weekend, Bree bonds with Mary Alice’s son Zach. Lynette and Tom try to get the twins accepted at a prestigious private school and Gabrielle gets a shock when Carlos’s mother arrives unexpectedly.

6. Running to Stand Still
Lynette gets mad with a fellow parent, Maisy Gibbons about her plans for the school play. Susan is horrified when she discovers that Paul has put his son Zach in a mental institution. Mama Solis is very close to finding out about Gabrielle's affair and Bree is distraught when Rex suggests they hire a sex surrogate.

7. Anything You Can Do
Susan gets angry when Mike’s sexy visitor, Kendra forces him to postpone their first official "date” and Edie convinces her that they should follow him when he goes out. Lynette gets more and more dependent on the twins' ADD medication. Bree is upset when Rex moves out of the family home and their son Andrew runs over Mama Solis when she rushes out of the door having uncovered Gabrielle’s secret.

8. Guilty
Susan begins to grow suspicious of Mike’s real reason for moving to Wisteria Lane. Lynette tries to curb her addiction to the ADD medication through acupuncture and Gabrielle confesses her affair with John to a priest whilst Carlos's mother is in the hospital.

9. Suspicious Minds
Gabrielle and John consider getting back together and she is forced to confess about their affair to his mother Helen who suspects that he has been sleeping with Susan. Fortunately for Gabrielle, Carlos is arrested before he can find out. Bree and Rex find drugs in Andrew’s room and are not sure how best to punish him and the police discover Paul Young’s dumped toy chest.

10. Come Back To Me
School mum Maisy Gibbons’ big secret weaves its way into Bree’s life. Gabrielle gets a taste of her own medicine when Carlos's makes some jailhouse confessions. Lynette, intrigued and jealous of her new nanny, secretly videotapes her and Susan sends the runaway Zach back home to his father.

11. Move On
When Felicia Tilman arrives on Wisteria Lane, Edie helps to organise a search for her missing sister, Mrs. Huber. Susan's ex-husband, Karl, makes a sudden reappearance in her life, whilst Bree asks her pharmacist George out on a date. Lynette meanwhile fears that Tom is attracted to the new nanny. Gabrielle, facing crippling debts is forced to get a job.

12. Everyday A Little Death
Wisteria Lane finally learns of Martha Huber's fate and Susan is forced to confess to Edie that she accidentally burnt down her house. Lynette’s morals go out of the window when she needs to find a way of getting her children into overbooked day care so she can attend yoga classes and Carlos returns home under house arrest.


13. Your Fault
When Lynette's father-in-law pays a visit to the family, she finds out that he has been regularly cheating on his wife and Tom has known all along. Susan is disturbed by Julie's romance with Zach and Rex attempts to make up with Bree.

14. Love Is In The Air (A.K.A. What I did For Love)
Its Valentine's Day and Susan looks forward to a romantic date with Mike. But when Mike breaks into a neighbour’s house he is shot and tries to hide it from Susan. Bree finds out something new about her husband Rex when it comes to his sexual needs and Lynette's neighbour accuses the twins of stealing. Gabrielle is forced to get a job as a mattress model.

15. Impossible
Police arrest Mike over Mrs. Huber's murder, shocking Susan. John's friend, Justin attempts to blackmail Gabrielle with his knowledge of their affair and becomes her new gardener. Tom wants a big job promotion, however Lynette knows she will be lonelier than ever if he gets it, so she tries to discourage him. Zach Young has a pool party and things get out of hand resulting in Andrew admitting to being gay.

16. The Ladies Who Lunch
Maisy Gibbons' is finally caught and arrested for prostitution. Gabrielle and Carlos also face a crisis of their own when the sewer system breaks at their house and they don't have the money to fix it. Meanwhile, as Susan sinks into depression over her breakup with Mike, she finds a surprising ally in Edie.

17.There Won’t Be Trumpets
Mama Solis wakes up from her coma, but not for long. Lynette befriends a deaf woman, Alisa Stevens, whose children also attend Barcliff Academy with Porter and Preston whilst Susan finds herself liking Edie's attractive new contractor.

18. Children Will Listen
Susan's mum, Sophie, unexpectedly pays a visit to Wisteria Lane after she and her boyfriend broke up. Carlos tries to change his and Gabrielle’s prenuptial agreement in order to keep Gabrielle faithful while he serves his prison sentence. Lynette and Bree experience a chill in their friendship after Bree babysat for Lynette's children and slapped Porter.

19. Live Alone And Like It (AKA An Unexpected Song)
Susan arrives home to find her mother with a man she has picked up and Susan is forced to ask him to leave. Andrew talks to a priest about what he is feeling, and tells him of his shocking plans for his mother, Bree. Gabrielle has her credit card rejected in a posh restaurant but consoles herself by sleeping with John.

20. Fear No More
Gabrielle plans a big party to send Carlos off in style to prison. George reappears in Bree's life, which infuriates Rex and Lynette learns that Tom's old girlfriend has been rehired by his firm. There is a fire in Susan's kitchen and suspecting Paul is behind it, she hires Mr. Shaw to investigate the Young family. When Gabrielle finds out that Carlos tampered with her contraceptive pills she goes mad.

21.Sunday In The Park With George
Bree feels guilty about sharing her intimate feelings with George as Rex's health begins to decline. Carlos tells Gabrielle that his mother, not him tampered with her birth control and she has to tell John that she is pregnant which he does not take very well.

22. Goodbye For Now
Susan and Mike move in together. Lynette tries to stop Annabel from getting between her and Tom, and her actions result in Tom losing his job. Rex has another heart attack. Gabrielle decides to leave Carlos after discovering the truth about the birth control. Mrs. Huber's journal reveals some secrets and two new faces arrive on Wisteria Lane.

23. One Wonderful Day
Edie Britt gets a cold welcome from the new neighbours, Betty Applewhite, a strict mother and her son, Matthew. Zach takes Susan hostage at Mike's home and vows to kill Mike on revenge for his father’s lies and past. Tom tells Lynette that as she lost him his job, it is now her turn to go back to work and he'll be staying home with the kids. Bree and Rex’s marriage ends on a sad note and Carlos learns that John and Gabrielle have been lovers for a while.
